From needing to change from Team Nicaragua to Team Guatemala due to the political unrest down in Nicaragua to having our flight this morning cancelled due to the volcanic activity in Guatemala yesterday, our team is learning more and more what it means to "wait on the Lord." We are being stretched in our faith as we continue to feel tossed about a bit by all of what's going on, but we will keep looking to our God who is still on His throne despite these hard things that are going on in Latin America. As you think of our team, you can be praying for wisdom in leadership, patience as we wait, our faith to grow as we're stretched, and our glorying to continue to be in the Lord!
The flight agent working with Students International was able to get the whole team tickets to fly down to Guatemala on Wednesday night instead. If something else opens up earlier, we will take it as we are packed and ready to go! But, if the Lord wants us to wait till Wednesday, then that's what we'll do because that's what is best!
Please be praying with us for the people of Nicaragua, our friends on Students International staff who are trying to continue to work and serve despite the unrest and violence, and all of those down in Guatemala who were affected by the volcano's eruption! Thank you!
