We all made it safe and sound to the Dominican Republic late yesterday afternoon and settled in on the Students International base! The internet provider here in the DR went out last night, so we apologize that we were not able to post last night...it wasn't from a lack of trying!
Once we got to the base, the kids got into their cabins and received a quick introduction, followed by dinner. They were able to relax last night and sleep in a little bit this morning. We will go through orientation after breakfast. Then, after lunch, we will be able to visit our ministry sites for the first time to see where we are going to be able to serve for the next two weeks!
